Early this morning, after slinking in from the narcotic American night, I scribbled lots of notes for the novel. I am very excited. There is only one missing piece, and I have three days before I find out who that missing piece is.

Lets do this thing

Phase 2 of my evil plot to rule the world begins today. Everyone who reads this blog knows that I am auctioning of a spot as a major character in my next novel. Here and there on the internet people are discussing this. It has some mild “buzz” I guess.

As part of the auction I guarantee publication of the novel. Obviously this means that if no one else is willing to take it, I will have to publish the thing myself. But I’d hate to do that.

So: are you a publisher? Are you involved in an indie press? Do you want to start a small press? If so, you can have my novel on the cheap. I don’t ask much. Plus, as you can see from what I’m doing, I will be a massive pimp and help sell as many copies as possible.

Ebay: The Novel

So, what is this all about? Why Ebay? Novels, you ask, aren’t those dead?

Here’s the deal. My name is Nathan Tyree. I am a writer. My first book, Mr. Overby is Falling, has a small cult following. My fiction and poetry has appeared in over 100 magazines, journals, e-zines and anthologies. Every day thousands of people read my words.

I want to write a new novel, and I want an interesting character to include in that novel. To that end I started this Ebay auction.

The winner of the auction will become a character in a novel that I will write within one year. They will also get a free copy of the book when it is published.

For this to go anywhere (and for the winner to gain some measure of fame) the auction must get noticed. It needs to go viral. That has started.

It is being “tweeted” about on twitter. It is getting mentioned on blogs. We need more. I am running a contest. Pimp this auction in some way (via twitter, your blog, facebook, myspace, forums, etc) then let me know. Your name will be entered into a random drawing. The winner of tat drawing will get a big pile of free books (mostly small press stuff).

So, help a brother out. Please.
